๐ข 2026 Medicare Part B Premiums and Deductibles Announced
November 14, 2025 — The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has officially released the 2026 Medicare Part B premiums and deductibles, and there are some important updates beneficiaries should know.
๐ต What’s Changing in 2026?
-
Standard Monthly Premium:
The standard Part B premium will increase to $202.90, up from $185.00 in 2025. -
Annual Deductible:
The Part B deductible will rise to $283, compared to $257 in 2025.
These changes reflect projected increases in healthcare costs and service utilization. However, CMS noted that recent policy changes—particularly around the cost of skin substitute products—helped reduce what could have been a much larger premium hike.
๐ Immunosuppressive Drug-Only Coverage
For individuals who only have Part B coverage for post-kidney transplant immunosuppressive drugs, the 2026 premium will be $121.60. Income-related adjustments may apply.
๐ผ Income-Related Monthly Adjustments (IRMAA)
Higher-income beneficiaries will continue to pay more for Part B. For example:
-
Individuals earning $137,001–$171,000 will pay $405.80/month
-
Those earning over $500,000 will pay $689.90/month
These adjustments also apply to immunosuppressive drug-only coverage, with premiums ranging up to $608.10/month for the highest income tier.
